William Hubbert Hancock is constantly mixed up with his uncle brother of Father John J William Hancock MCKX His uncle married a woman named Patty Cheek William and Patty had a daughter named Rhoda That is just a coincidence: The middle name Hubbert is also used for both men I believe the William with Hubbert as a middle name was John Js son There was a land grant given to a John Hancock in Guilford County NC in which was surveyed in where the chain carriers for the surveyors were listed as William Hubbert Hancock and his brother Isaiah John J Hancocks sons were Isaiah and William I cannot find any official record where this William who married Patty Cheek had the middle name Hubbert:
