William (the elder) Hawkins, RN

His voyages took him to the West Indies, to the Levant, and to India, but NOT to North America, nor did he settle there (or anywhere).

He died at sea en route from South Africa to England, and was buried in Ireland. He left a young widow, who he said was the daughter of one "Mubarique Sha" (Mubarak Khan) - but no children.
