From the 1910 census in Springfield, Mass: William's listed occupation was: Driver. He was living with his parents and older brother Charles A. Gilmore, Jr. at 180 Wilburn Street. Interestingly, his next door neighbors (in a 3 family home) at 182 Wilburn were John and Martha Saunders, the parents of his future wife Myrtle Saunders Reed, 12 years his senior and in 1910 soon to be divorced. According to his WW2 draft card (digital copy in hand), he worked at the Bond Baking Company in Hartford, CT.
