I have a DN filed 1 Aug 1853 for William John HARTLEY, parents William HARTLEY and Hannah BAKER, the latter dead about a year. Date of Death : unknown - in or about the year 1831 Where: unknown Whether left Property: an inheritance of about Pds. 57? from the estate of his dead mother/administered in ...? funds. Signed by : (very feint - cannot read) Cape Town 7 Aug 1853 So this is the missing child... Hannah BAKER must have died in childbirth??
