He died on February 10, 1945 in Departement du Alsace, Haguenau, Bas-Rhin, Grand Est, France and was buried in Plot A Row 19 Grave 14, Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial Epinal Departement des Loraine, Dinozé, Vosges, Grand Est, France.
