William Marsh was born about 1642, County Kent, England, died 1724 at Plainfield, Connecticut. He was wounded during the King Phillips War in the Narraganset Swamp fight in 1675, and was removed to Stonington, Connecticut where he was treated by Dr. Noyce and nursed back to health by Elizabeth Yeomans, who he later married on October 18, 1681/2. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary (Button) Yeomans, (1630-1662) and was born 1659 at Haverhill, Mass. She was admitted to the First Church, Stonington, Connecticut, August 24, 1690. William was admitted May 14, 1693, he surveyed with his wife's brother, Edward Yeomans, the town of Plainfield, Connecticut. He removed with his wife and family, no doubt, about 1694, to Plainfield, Connecticut as the last church record at Stonington is dated June 2, 1694.
