The old files of the "Adams Centmel" offers a few clues. 3. Wednesday, April 14, 1813 -"Died, Monday night, April 12, 1813, in the 55th year of his age, Mr. William McCleary 'or McLeary), of Cumberland Township, this County." Note -- There are a number of McCleary (or McLeary 1 graves in the Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian cemetery, located almost due west of McClellan family graveyard, across March Creek, on the hill, but the William McCleary mentioned atxne is not included among them Therefore it is reasonable to assume that William McCleary -- born 1755 -died 1813 -- is buried in the McClellan's burial ground m an un marked grave. Perhaps he was one of the veterans of the American Revolution whose graves, by tradition, are placed in this little plot. --OCR text of the Gettysburg times, 18 Aug 1962
