22 May 1555: Instrument of sasine in favour of William Ogilvy [Ogilvie] of the lands and barony of Lude, as heir to his father, deceased Patrick Ogilvy of Inchmartyne [Inchmartine], following on precept from chancery, 27 April 1555, and precept, 20 May 1555, by Patrick, Lord Ruthven, sheriff of Perth, to Alexander Borthuik [Borthwick] and Andrew Malcum [Malcolm], mairs of the said sheriffdom, said Alexander Borthuik giving sasine. Witnesses: John Tarlochsoun [Tarlachson] younger; Patrick Raid [Reid]; William McRobbe [McRobb]; John McCarroquhair; Donald Johnnesoun [Johnson], and Donald McCarroquhair. Notary: Alan Justice, clerk of the diocese of St. Andrews; also signed by Robert Rollok, clerk of the sheriff court of Perth.
