"William Paterson, born 22nd July 1751, youngest son of James P., min. of Coull ; educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen ; M.A. (1770); licen. by Presb. of Kincardine O'Neil 18th Aug. 1773; pres. by Thomas Buchan of Auchmacoy Sept. 1773; ord. 6th July 1774; died 4th July 1816. He marr.

(1) 17th July 1779, Anna (died 17th March 1792, aged 36), daugh. of James Ogilvie of Culquhanny and had issue —

  • John, born 28th March 1783, died 28th Feb. 1784
