fr.Wikipédia and en.Wikipedia indicate that Honfroi's son, "Guillaume de Beaumont", was a "monk at the abbey of Saint-Pierre de Préaux." Also showing is that Guillaume was a "possible child." Where the writer gets this information is not in-line cited. Nevertheless, there appears to be more support for this William being a son of Ralph Paynel, not Honfroi, and was probably not "Sheriff of Lincolnshire".
