   1647c, December: William, a son of William and Elizabeth (Barstow) Randall was born at Scituate Settlement, Plymouth Colony.

   1648c, January 2: William Randall was christened at the Second Church in Scituate, Massachusetts. William owned 200 acres of land in the vicinity of old Fenner ledge and what became Knightsville, Cranston, Rhode Island. He ran a grist mill and a small saw mill on the west side of the Pochasset River near the road and opposite Cranston Print Works. He resided in Providence, now Cranston, Rhode Island.

   1674c: William Randall was a miller. He came to Providence.

   1674, November: William Randall, Jr. took up a stray horse, branded on the fore shoulder with F, a small star in the forehead, and all four feet white. He made proclamation thereof.
   1684, November 1: He had a deed of a 60-acre lot and a 20-acre lot and three shares of meadow, etc., from Henry Fowler, his father-in-law.
   1687, September 1: William Randall was taxed 00-08-11 1688, ratable estate 5 cows, 2 three years, a two year, 2 horses, acres of planting, 10 acres meadow, 80 acres wood land.
   1701c: Deputy.

   1702, March 2: He deeded to his eldest son, William, for love, etc., two shares of meadow, "which I brought of my father-in-law, Henry Fowler, said land being situated at south end of Antashantuck Neck, adjoining Hawkins' Hole". The above land is now owned and occupied by Mr. Seth Davis, of Cranston, Rhode Island. (1889).

   1702, October 24: William Randall freed his negro. Peter Palmer, in consideration of good and faithful service, etc., "and he was to be his own man at his own disposing".
   1705, March 9: He mortgaged half of an 80-acre tract with house thereon in which he lived, the mill standing on said half tract and another piece of land of 85 acres for the amount of £94-08-00 to his brother. Job Randall of Scituate, Massachusetts.
   1708, June 17: He "being now aged and decrepit and weak in body and therefore become incapable to carry on my affairs for a livelihood", deeded to his son William, "for a comfortable maintenance during life the mansion house, grist mill, out housing cellar and lands adjoining and other lands in Providence so far west as the seven mile line, the profits of cattle, increase of stock of all sorts of neat kine, sheep, swine, etc., to be for his son, William, from year to year except what his father should see fit to put
   away, always provided that whereas the housing lieth under some engagement to my brother Job and Mr, Gideon Crawford, now deceased, and Joseph Whipple, the said son, William, shall cast clear those engagements and provide at all times a comfortable place of abode for his father, taking care of him for life".

He married REBECCA FOWLER 1674 in Providence (Providence) Rhode Island. She was born 1656 in Providence (Providence) Rhode Island, and died March 23, 1729/30 in Scituate (Plymouth) Massachusetts.

William Randall was a miller. He came to Providence before 1674. In 1702 he freed his negro, Peter Palmer, in consideration of "good and faithful service".
