About William Branham "Old Billy" Smith
My Great, Great, Great, Grandfather was Isaac Smith who lived in Shenandoah County, VA; but moved to Russell County in 1800. He died and his wife Frankie took the children (except Billy B., who was sick)to KY. He was left with a family by the name of Branham who raised him. He then went by the name Branham-Smith. After going on to Kentucky, he married Elizabeth Childers from Floyd County KY in 1820.
