William Stone married Elizabeth Roberson. She was born about 1715 and died in 1775. William and Elizabeth migrated from York County through Henrico, Goochland, and Cumberland Counties to Lunenburg County, Virginia. William Stone's estate inventory was recorded March 3, 1761.
An inventory of estate recorded March 3, 1761 in Lunenburg County, VA Will Book 2, p.73 showed William had at least three sons, William Jr, John and Richard. The inventory was conducted by John Winn, James Pulliam and Joseph Pulliam. Est valued at 36L 1/2p.
William Stone of York Co. is one of many Stones in early Virginia that cannot be traced back any further. All that is known of him is his will dated 25 Nov 1729 and probated in February of 1730 which lists his four children, William Jr, Ashwell, Elizabeth and Mary. His children moved to Lunenburg county.
