NOTES FROM Find A Grave contributor RainbowLady777 (Thanks)

According to Vanover family history "William Taylor made his will October 17, 1823, leaving his home farm and the mill to his son John and the rest of his property to be distributed among his children. He apparently died later in the same year. "

FROM VANOVER WEBSITE They lived along New River in Grayson County on land deeded to them by William's father.

About 1818, they moved over onto Elk Creek in what in now Alleghany County, North Carolina, where it appears that William took over his father's old mill.

The records of Little River Baptist Church show that he became a member there in 1818.

William Taylor made his will October 17, 1823, leaving his home farm and the mill to his son John and the rest of his property to be distributed among his children.

He apparently died later in the same year. Buried here in unmarked grave

William and Mary (Vanover) Taylor are supposed to be buried on a ridge overlooking New River on their old farm in Alleghany County, North Carolina. This is now Bethany Cemetery
