Furthermore, while John Thompson is listed as the father of the William Linsey Thompson who was born in Pelham, MA in 1789, there was no John Thompson living in Pelham, nor anywhere in the vicinity, according to the US Census of 1790. There was a John Thompson living in Rupert, VT in 1790, with one male child under the age of 10.
