William Towne was born on 13 Mar 1658 in Topsfield, Massachusetts to parents Sgt. Edmund T Towne and Mary Browning. He married Margaret Wilkins on 22 Aug 1694 in Topsfield, Essex, Massachusetts. (Family has had a tradition that William had a first wife Eliza who had several children who died in infancy. No documentation yet.)
