About William Vincent, of Pawtuxet
Not the same as William Vincent, of Martha’s Vineyard
He came to America in 1659 or 1660 and settled in Pawtucket, RI. A farmer and cooper. Elected town constable of Providence at a town meeting on 6 June 1670. He also exchanged 60 acres of land in the "New Division" at the town meeting on 16 March 1673/1674. (Early Records of the Town of Providence, Volume III page 152). William arrived in Providence, Rhode Island where he married Priscilla Carpenter.

William Vincent died on 21 December 1695 in Rhode Island. [3] [4] William's will was proved 21 December 1695 (so he likely died a little before this date) and names his second wife Jemima and three sons Thomas, Nicolas and William.[5]
