Known in the family as Wilder I. Part owner of Crane Lumber Company.
According to the 1900 Census, Wilder and Julie lived in Stanley, WI. They had been married two years. Their son, Wilder, Jr. was one. Wilder's sister, Nellie, 21, lived with them. W.F. was managing a department store and Nellie was clerking in the store.
In 1910 (U.S. Census) the family was living in Crane, Wisconsin. Wilder was 11 and Eugene was 8. The town school teacher, Zola Cummins, boarded with the family.
In 1920 (U.S. Census) the family was back in Chippewa Falls, living at 520 Willow Street. Wilder was 21, Eugene was 18, Minerva was 8 and Irma is 7.
Irma, 18, was the only child remaining at home, 520 Willow Street, in 1930 (U.S. Census). W.F. was recorded as having the lumber company (Crane). Edward Wall, a 24 year-old bookkeeper, was lodging with the family.
