Mr. Wallace was a farmer in Marion County, [W.]Va., and was the son of James and Margaret (Tennant) Wallace. On 25 May 1859, he married Martha Hawkes in Marion County, [W.]Va., and they had four children there:
Luella C; Elmer (aka Elmore) Scott m. Mary B. Barrackman; Jennie C. m. Festus P. Reese; Maud Blanche
Note: There were a number of Toothman and Fluharty families who lived near them in West Virginia. Possibly he was related to the Toothman family of Belmont County, leading to his move to Barnesville about 1900-1910.
