About William Wolfe
William Woolf was born on July 15, 1766 on the Woolf Family Homestead in Sussex County, Delaware to Reece and Mary White Woolf.
He married Mary Futcher, daughter of John and Sarah Burton Futcher, Together they raised the following children:

Like many Americans, William served roles in community civic leadership.
- In 1803, he is noted as one of the trustees of Lewes Academy.
- William served as a Justice of the Peace in Lewes in 1810. William died in 1818. His grave marker, made of cypress wood, was found by a farmer and donated to the Zwaanendael Museum circa 1930-1940. Now it is in climate-controlled storage in Dover, DE.
