William Dee Zang, 78    William Dee Zang, 78, of Beulah, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at his home.  He was born in Old Mission, Mich., on March 5, 1931, the son of late Harry and Edna (Helferich) Zang.  He married Marcia Brozofsky on Dec. 30, 1971.  Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  After the service, he worked at Burwood Products in Traverse City then he owned a drug store in Sand Lake.  For a time he worked for Hughes Aircraft in California.  He worked in quality control and maintenance in Manistee, Grand Rapids and Beulah.  Bill also worked in Harbor Springs as a quality control inspector. He was co-owner and operator of Zang's AFC. Bill did guardianship work for Antrim and Emmet Probate Court. Bill was always keeping busy; he was a charter boat captain and was well known for his guitar playing with his band The Embers. He was also a member of the Interlochen Eagles. He loved to play euchre, grow tomatoes and take care of his little dog, Coco. He would work the daily crossword puzzle.                                                                                                           He is survived by his wife, Marcia; sons, David of Roseau, Minn., Charles of Kansas City, Kan., Michael (Shazelle) of Beulah, Thom (Em) of Hartland, Wis., and Brad of Beulah; daughter, Niki Lynn Hewitt of Beulah; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Douglas, Donald; sisters, Norma Tobey and Winona Tanner; daughter, Holly Adkins; nephew, Frank Tobey; and niece, Lee Lashaway.   Services have been held. Memorials may be directed to the Eden Bible Church.   Jowett Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Frankfort handled arrangements.
