Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church for Willie Mae Henry, 79, who passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at 4:40 p.m. at her residence in Grand Coteau.
Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Ms. Henry was a lifelong native of the Grand Coteau and Sunset communities. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Percy Lee Clark and his wife, Mary, of Opelousas, Percy Clark Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Sunset, and Albert Henry Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Arnaudville; three daughters, Georgia Hypolite and Ella Mae Roberts both of Grand Coteau, and Patricia Clark of Sunset; one step-son, Clifford Clark of Sunset; one step-daughter, Regina Clark of Sunset; forty-five grandchildren, sixty-nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren; one brother, Irvin Clark of Baytown, TX; and one sister, Amelia Henry of Sunset; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Tight" Henry Sr., her parents, James Clark and the former Georgiana Brooks Clark, both natives of Cankton, two daughters, Dora Savoy and Jane Mae Henry; nine brothers and four sisters; one son-in-law, John Allen "Butch" Robert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sister Mary Calais and Sister Theresa Sims.
