Winnefred (Freda) Mansell (Nee Matthews)

This is a memory from Marion Power about her mother:

My Mom was a wonderful lady, When she was very young in England she had polio, the house maids kept her wrapped in hot wool strips from a wool blandet. That is why Mom had deformed feet and had trouble walking. Dad used to take her to shoe maker to build her shoes so they were level for walkinmg.. After I was born she developed Rheumtoid Arthristis.

She could not carry me as a baby so she had a maid to help her.

I had another little sister "Shirley" born April 1929 and died July 23,1930. I was born in 1926. She was always a happy lady and loved her Ford Car that Dad gave her.
