Baron Wolf “Erik” Jürgen Von Der Pahlen died peacefully March 25, 2020 age 96 Hackettstown, New Jersey USA. He lived in Maywood & Wayne, NJ for the past 21 years. His wife Gerda passed in 1984. He had no children but an adopted daughter. He was the best friend of Bertha Stuting for 21 years. Erik was a noble kind gentleman, beloved by all especially his friend Betty Stuting. My notes possibly not totally correct: Erich Von der Pahlen from Pida Estonia. (Russia) 96 in 2019. Born in 1923. His father was a Baron. Alfred Alexander Renee. The Russians came & shot his father. He used that name when he moved to Switzerland? His Uncle Van Benkdorf was related to Prime Minister Bismarck (1880). After his father was killed, March 12, 1945, his stricken mother walked out into the lake & drowned. Erik was drafted into Hitlers Army. They lost all their property in Estonia.
