Wolf Wilhelm Blumenfeld had arrived in England in 1886, daughter Henny having been born at Altona, Hamburg 17 Feb 1886 and daughter Rebbeca born at Kingston-on-Thames 25 Aug 1887. Also, his wife Gottlebin Sophia Naegle noted on the 1911 England census she had become a British subject in 1886. In England he took on the name William Bloomfield, although his 1906 probate registered in Oxford, England identified him still as Wolf Wilhelm Blumenfeld, so the name change probably was not done legally.
