About Yette Frankfort
She immigrated as Yette Frankfurter age 40 residing in Galszecs, departing from Hamburg on August 27, 1884 arriving in the port of New York aboard the SS Rhaetia. She was a nurse and midwife in 1894. She lived at 117 Ridge Street (0.2 miles around the corner from Moritz Frank father of Harry and Minnie) in Manhattan in 1887 and 1891 when she was the medical attendant at Harry and Minnie Frank’s birth and at 1900 and 1905 census. 1905 census says she was 58 years old meaning born in 1847. 1900 census says 66 years old born in April 1834 and she was a widow and lived with her two sons. She was still living with them at 1905 census. She lived at 548 Schenk Avenue (84 in 1/14/1920 census) in Brooklyn with her son Henry's family when she died. 1869 Hungary Census says she was born in 1842 (Jetti Frankfort). Lived with family in Galszecs at the 1869 Hungary Census. Marriage of Jente Edelstein to Elimelech Frankfort in Galzsecs on 6/18/1863. Death cert. #13430
