Zelda (45), a screen-printing business owner, and avid motorcyclist, was shot in the stomach, by robbers, around Midday on 28th September 2018.
Zelda, was waiting to meet up with a fellow biker, and parked her bike under the N7 Bridge near Century City, Cape Town. She was only there for a few minutes, when she was robbed, and shot three times in the stomach.

- Police had a tip off about a gun at one of the perpetrators houses. Officers of the Metro Police’s K9 Unit, Gang and Drug Task Team, and Law Enforcement Stabilisation Unit conducted a search. They arrested Lucian Ackerman (33), at his Kensington home.
- Metro police spokeswoman Sergeant Ruth Solomons said officers searching the house found a fully loaded .38 Special revolver on top of a wardrobe and 10 live rounds, and Zelda's ID and bank cards. Two further suspects were arrested, Michael Pietersen and Elton Abrahams.

- All three are charged with murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and possession of firearms and ammunition, and appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates Court.
- On 5th February 2020, Lucian Ackerman was given a life sentence for Zelda's murder. His co-accused, Michael Peterson, was also handed a 20-year sentence for murder and 10 years for robbery. Ackerman and Peterson pleaded guilty in November 2019, while a third accused, Elton Abrahams, pleaded not guilty. He is expected to go on trial later during February 2020.
