Mrs Zella Z. Egle, 85, of 1013 NW 17, died Thursday in a local convalescent home following a lengthy illness. Services are pending at Guardian Funeral Home.
Born in Leon, Iowa, in 1869, Mrs Egle attended school at Cedar Falls, Iowa. In 1890 she taught school in Grunday County, IA. Mrs Egle was president of the Women's Relief Corps here; was parlimentarian of the Sorosis Club; and had been a member of Eastern Star chapter 10 here since 1917, and was the chapter treasurer for 12 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church for 40 years, but in recent years had become affiliated with the Pilgram Congregational Church.
In 1902 Mrs Egle married Carl A. Egle at Fort Worth, TX. Egle, a retired accountant survives. The couple came to Oklahoma City in 45 years ago. Besides her husband, she is survived by three cousins living in Minnesota.
