I have limited information on the Irish side of the family thats my next project . My grandfather was Thomas Sands i believe he was from County Cork his mother was Isabella Bridget and his father was John Sands he married Sarah Jane McKnight on the 7th April 1886 who i believe was also Irish her father Robert McKnight also born in Ireland her mother Ellen Campbell scottish Maria thats is as far as i've gone with the Irish branch the Sands apparently had a farm in County Cork and apparently one of the daughters migrated to Canada in the early 1916-20 to get married my mother in later life suffered from a mild form of dementia and when Helen and i returned from a holiday to Canada she asked how Sarah was who was the daughter.Sorry i can't add any more i would be interested if you can fill in any blanks .
