He became a citizen on December 30, 1897. In the 1885 St. Paul city directory he is listed as a laborer. In 1889 he worked for the John Boldthen Company at a quarry at St. Clair & Onieda. In the 1894 directory he now is a teamster working for the Milton T. Emory Coal & Wood Company. Joseph is buried in Calvery Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota. Minnesota Death Record 1910MN021381. On 1885 census, name is Stingribble.
