The maiden name and parents of Widow Elizabeth Upson of Sudbury are unknown.

The husband of "Widow Elizabeth Upson" of Sudbury and father Hannah Upson who married Edward wright is unknown. Exhaustive research into Thomas Upson of Connecticut and Stephen Upson who came in 1635 on the "Increase" and arrived in Boston late July 1635 has yielded no connection to this family. While Banks, Pope and Savage have searched for a connection in Boston records in fact no record of Stephen Upson of Boston has been found after his arrival. While we can't rule out that Stephen could have been a member of this family other than a shared surname there is no reason to suspect that he was.[1] Sources
