OBITUARY.
LATE CHARLES HARRIS
After a brief illness, the death
of the late Charles Harris took
place at St. John of God Hospital,
Perth, on Monday, July 15. De
ceased, who was 74 years of age,
was born at Quindalup in 1855,
where he spent the early years of
his life. For many years he was
employed at various timber mills
including the old Ballarat Mill. He
married in 1880, and his wife pre-
deceased him in the year 1911.
For a number of years the late Mr
Harris engaged in 'farming activities
and was a successful dairy farmer
in the Capel district, where he
was a well known and highly re
spected resident. In 1925 he sold
his farm and lived a retired life
with his brother, Mr. Andrew Har
ris, of Quindalup.
Deceased leaves a family of three
sons, Frederick, Edward and Char- .
les, and two daughters, Mrs S. Gil
lard, of Yarloop, and Mrs. M. Wil
liams, of Capel, to mourn their loss.
The funeral took place at Capel
cemetery, where a large number of
relatives and friends assembled to ,
pay a last tribute of respect. The
pall bearers were Messrs B. W.
Prowse, J. O. Roberts, E. M. Dyer; '
and T. G. Hutton. The Rev. Lepin- ,
iere, of Boyanup, conducted the
service.
