Joseph H. Ross Sr. - Are they the same?

Cynthia, I believe they are the same. According my Granny Ross (Mabel Easterday Ross) Joseph Harve Ross, married to Margaret Morton, was named for his father and was the second (junior). She wasn't sure who Joseph, Sr. was married to. I have visited the Ross family cemetery at Ross's Riffle in Ohio County, KY 6 times where Joseph H. Ross, Jr is buried. I have also visited the Abell cemetery outside Bardstown, KY, with the land owners permission. According to county library records, Joseph Harve Ross, Sr is buried there with his wife. I wasn't able find headstones for them. Lots of vines anf ground coverage but I searched quite thoroughly. I found other stones but not theirs. Douglas Layton Ross is a good contact but I've lost track of him. His name is at the bottom of the second Ross profile you listed above. He has done extensive research, finding two wives for Joseph Ross, Sr.
