John Willie Walker - Obituary

GRAYSON — Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today for John (Bill) Walker, 91, of Grayson in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. J. D. Kitchingham officiating.

Burial was to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery.

Mr. Walker died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital in Monroe after a short illness.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lesoker [sic Lesker] Moore of Grayson, Mrs. Myrtie Gregory of Columbia, Mrs. Gladys Burney and Mrs. Win[n]ie Haynes, both of Shreveport; one son, Clifton Walker of Snyder, Tex.; one brother, Hebe Walker of Snyder, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Lida Peterson of Snyder, Tex., Mrs. Nettie Meredith of Sedonie [sic Sedona], Ariz., Mrs. Omie Downs and Mrs. Margie Rogers, both of Shreveport; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
