Mike Doyle, Jr. - Obituary

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mike Doyle, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Dr. C. Stewart Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.

Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resume on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve will include Matthew Theunissen, Nicholas Theunissen, Lynn Cavanaugh, John Reed, Bernell Elie and Donnie Billingsley. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob and Joshua Doyle.

Mike Doyle, Jr, 78, of Pineville, passed from this life on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Mike was a member and served as a deacon, usher and greeter of First Baptist Church, Pineville. He handled inside sales/commercial quotations for Mid-State Supply Company where he was employed for over 48 years. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by those that loved him and knew him.

His parents, Mike, Sr. and Grace Sanchez Doyle; brother, Joe Doyle and sister, Virginia Doyle Nugent precede him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wyndolyn Reynolds Doyle; sons, Michael David Doyle and wife, Leslie; daughter, Katherine Doyle Theunissen and fiance' Darrin Melancon; grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Doyle and Matthew and Nicholas Theunissen; sister, Tish Doyle Grayson and a host of other family members and friends.
