Sir Howland Roberts is well documented & known to have had two daughters; Elizabeth who died an infant and Bridget his eldest child who married Edmund Trench, as well as two sons; Sir Thomas Roberts & Jocelyn Roberts. .
I cannot find any evidence that he had a son named John Spencer Roberts, much less one who married a Dorothy Davye 83 years before he was born...
