Apply caution when using the Bogue Genealogy as it states a supposition for the lineage of Israel Phillips. The Israel Phillips (b.1737) who married Amity Harris did have a son, Israel (b. 1766, Richmond, NH), but he removed to Saratoga with the rest of the family and married Mary Smith in 1791/92, in Adams, MA. Younger Israel and Mary had one son, Jenks, and six daughters, all named in younger Israel's will dated 25 July 1813. It is also documented that elder Israel Phillips was present at the first town meeting for Richmond, NH on 27 Mar 1765.
There was another Israel Phillips (b. unknown, d. 1781) who in his will dated 16 Jan 1778, lists as beneficiary one Israel Phillips alias Comstock, son of Catherine Comstock. This Israel was b. 1765 according to Rhode Island vital records. Catherine Comstock is named as single parent, no father is named. This Israel married Hannah Mann in 1795, the entry in the Rhode Island vital extracts stated that both the fathers of Israel and Hannah are deceased at this time, which reinforces the claim of Israel (b. ?, d. 1781) is correct, while Israel (b. 1737, d. 1823) is not.
