Cecilia Joseph nee Curtis - Love

I was looking at old family photos with my auntie Alma Wolfson. She was very close to her grandma Gladys Shottlander and when we found some photo’s of Cecilia , Alma commented that Jospeh was heartbroken when Cecilia died age 56 and never let anyone change a thing in their bedroom after she died. This brought a tear to my wye as since looking at this branch of the tree I have wondered how many women converted to Judaism in the mid to late 19th century. Certainly it could not have been many and they Joseph and Cecilia must have been deeply in love -so Alma’s comment made a lot of sense.
