His parents were Marcus Löbl and Hany (Johana) and Maly's parents were "Paula Gartner, the mother, and Samuel Einzig of Brno." See in Slovakia Church and Synagogue Books, 1592-1935 Jewish (Židovská obec) Nové Mesto nad Váhom Nové Mesto nad Váhom Marriages (Manželstvá) 1838-1883 (Inv. č. 1615), Image 57 of 127 in an un-indexed file. The marriage took place in Brno.

Birth month & day come from Certified Copy of Birth Record (see in MEDIA) issued in 1863. Birth year is from the 1869 Hungary census (below). If his birth year was 1833, conflicts with published Jan. 1834 birth date of Adolf's brother Dr. Saloman Stricker (Med.)

Hungary Civil Registration, 1895-1980 Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kis-Kun Budapest (VII. Kerület), Deaths (Halottak) 1923 (márc) has the death record. It calls him Abrahám and shows his father's name as Márk Stricker, mother Janke Rottmann.

J. Richard list for this family, per 11/6/2014 email: Abraham (Adolph) 1833-1923, married Amalia Einczig b. 1839. Children:

  • Sandor (Alexander) (J.R.'s grandfather). Sandor married Laura Polanyi, from an intellectual Hungarian family. One of their three children was designer Eva Zeisel.
  • Mor 1868-1932 (A.M.'s grandfather). Mor married Hermine Reitman. Their children were: Endre 1899-1980, Ferenc 1896-1948, who was A.M.'s father, and Miklos, who died at 21.
  • Izador (he died at 28 in 1894; see above)
  • Gyula. As Jakab, Gyula married Mimi Weschler and their child was the lovely choreographer, Olga Szentpal 1895-1968.
  • Jenny. She married Imre Radvanyi and had Laszlo, 1900-79, who married the famous German Communist author, Anna Seghers. Also had Georg Thomas, who was some sort of a Fascist, and lovely Lili, who married an amazing Hungarian psychoanalyst or psychiatrist, named Szondi, inventor of the Szondi test. He died at 103
  • Roza. [Per Hungarian Marriages, married on 24-May-1894 at age 22 (b. 1872)] to Moricz Rosenberg (30). Son was Steven (Istvan), daughter Bella. Their name was changed to Rudo. Steve lived in U.S.
  • Gina. She first married Karolyi Kernstok, a sculptor and painter, then Armin Teltsch [sic]. I believe she was an artist. Gina first married Teltsch (1899) then Kernstok (1926).
