He was the son of Judge Elisha and Margaret (DeForest) Mills, and was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1764. r. Mills settled in Sandusky, Ohio, where many of his descendants now reside. He was one of the first settlers of the place. He died aged 83.
Children born in Sandusky, Ohio: John P. Mills, died young. Caroline Mills, married Dr. Timothy P. Beers. See #2451. Elvira Mills, died aged 23 years, unmarried.
