About Albert Edward Tromp
Bertiebetween 1920 and 1950's
Bertie served in the WW1 and was wounded in France and discharged into The Territorial army in 1915. According to Estelle he was" good company,fond of cards & gambling,had several lady friends but did not marry". His business cards showed that he was Clerk Of Works in Accra in 1920. He then worked in The Gold Coast. Returning to the UK in 1934 he lived with his sister Jane Trump 1887 , who was Estelle's grandma,on County Rd Ormskirk. He later lived with Robert William Rogers 1911,Estelle's uncle at a house called Brent somewhere in Ormskirk until 1937. He then went to live at Lucy Bonds home Ivy Cottage Moss Delph Lane Aughton Lancs. Estelle thinks that "uncle Bert" as her mother called him died in the late 1950's.
