Alexander Horsburgh

The following indicates that Alexander Horsburgh had died prior to 1808 when his wife, under her name, sold property to the United States government. By the time that she had married Rev. James Henderson, additional land at this location was sold under his name:

On April 5, 1808 "Sarah Peter, & Elizabeth Horsburgh," conveyed to the United States government 10 acres on the James River that were part of a larger tract called "Hood's" ["Lands and buildings acquired for military purposes.
