About Alfred Louis
Alfred Louis, 94, Town of Maple Grove, rural Hillsdale, Wis., died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Dallas Healthcare Center.
He was born Aug. 15, 1908, to John and Julia (Hanson) Louis in the Town of Maple Grove, where he was raised and attended school. He married Ellen Greenwold on Nov. 15, 1937, at Dallas. They farmed in the Town of Maple Grove until retiring.

He was a life-long member of New Scandinavia Lutheran Church, Town of Maple Grove, and served on the church council. He also served for a time on the Prairie Lake Heights School Board.
He enjoyed fishing and playing dartball.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Ray (Pat) of the Town of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Kevin (Cyndi) Louis of Litchfield, Minn., Deborah Frisle of Barron, and Denise Waterhouse of Shell Lake; great-grandchildren, Curtiss and Jordan Frisle, Derek Waterhouse, and Abigail and Kaleb Louis; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Services held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, from New Scandinavia Lutheran Church, Rev. Ralph Marquardt officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
Mark Rausch Funeral Service, Dallas and Cameron, handled arrangements.
