John Taylor was a resident of Northampton County, Virginia as early as 1100 AD. He and his wife Alice both died in 1702. It is claimed that Alice, wife of John Taylor, was the daughter of Thomas Gascoigne, the Immigrant. They had at least five children. He was a Vestryman for Wicomico Parish, Northampton County, Virginia.
