Bio notes: Allen Putnam was born in 1762 a son of Henry Putnam Sarah Putnam
Allen Putnam was a private in the American Revolution, his father having been wounded at the Lexington Alarm and his grandfather killed in the retreat from Concord.
In 1807 he married Nancy Anne Porter the daughter of Amos and Anne Bradstreet [2, 8].

Nancy Anna, Rosella, Clarissa, Sarah Harriet Henry Thomas George Washington Martha Washington Allen Putnam was a member of the pioneer party of 48 men who landed at the mouth of the Muskingum River on April 7, 1788, which would become Marietta, Ohio [1] . He and his brother-in-law, Amos Porter, returned to Danvers, walking all the way, with their families they started back to Ohio; however, due due to the Ohio Indian wars, they remained in western Pennsylvania, returning to Marietta in 1795 . He settled on a farm near Stanleyville, in Fearing township, Washington County, Ohio.
A ship carpenter by trade he met his death by falling through a hatchway, while working at Marietta, and was buried on the farm in Fearing township. He has a Revolution Memorial Marker in Mound Cemetery, Marietta, Ohio [9]. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Putnam-15
