1. 66 Anders Andersson Homman (Repaupo Creek, 450 acres): Born December 1620 in Sollentuna Parish, Stockholm lan, Anders Andersson Homman came to New Sweden on the "Swan" in 1643 as a soldier. Effective l March 1648, he was promoted to the position of trumpeter. After the surrender of New Sweden, he chose to remain in America and married Catherine (parents unknown), who was born in Finland. He was one of the original patentees of Carkoens Hook in Kingsessing and served as constable of the Upland Court, 1678-80. On 26 March 1684, Andreas Anderson of "Carkas Hook" was granted 150 acres on Repaupo Creek in Glouchester County. Frequently, thereafter, this creek was called "Trumpeters Creek" of "Hoemans Creek" after its first resident. He had eight known children: Matthias, Lars, Rebecca, Olaf, Peter, Anders, Michael, and Brigitta, most of whom resided at home in 1693. Anders was buried in the old Glebe burial ground at Upland (Chester) on 9 Sept. 1700. His will left his entire estate to his son Matthias, who was charged with the duty of maintaining his mother Catherine during the remainder of her life. In October 1701, Matthias Hoeman sued Benjamin Braman in the Glouchester County Court, seeking the return of his fathers brass trumpet worth 3. The suit was amicably settled the following March. (Note: this was taken from a draft of Peter Stebbins Craig, J.D. to Mrs. Dorothy Sudikas on July 25, 1990, he said this was a draft of relevant pages of his book "The 1693 Census of the Swedes on the Delaware".

On page 131 I find the following. The SWAN, which brought Governor Prints and Israel Helms, brought also Anders Anderson Hommna (sometimes written Andrew Hoeman) from Saltune Cocken, near Stockholm. He too settled along the Repaupa Creek. He served as a soldier until 1648 he served as a trumpeter. The branch of Repauga creek (now known as Prugy) along which he lived was at times called Hoemans or Trumpeters Creek. Even so late as 1767, when it was made the boundary of the new Woolrich Township, it was still call Homans Creek. In 1693 he was head of a family of nine. In Sept 1700 he made a nuncupative will which was prove the following Feb. Peter Lock and John Lock went on the Executors bond and Andrew Robeson and Andrew Lock made the inventory showing among other things a plantation of 200 acres. He married Brigitta Helm, Dec. 16, 1756 in Gloucester County, New Jersey. She was daughter of Ake Helm and Catherine Rambo. She was b. Oct. 17, 1723 in Racoon, Gloucester County New Jersey.
