About Andreas Efthymiades
Born in Limassol. Grandson of Andreas Themistocleous. Graduated from Greek Gymnasium (1926). Studied at School of Philosophy ay University of Athens while at the same time studying archaeology. Teacher of philosophy in Alexandria (1934-1935). He was seconded to Munich by the University of Athens to study ancient history (Sep 1935) but died from illness (25 December). He worked on archeological projects at the Acropolis. He also translated works by Oscar Wilde and the first rapsody of the Odyssey.
