Andrew Jackson McIntosh

Was born between 1817 and 1821. All the census records say NC except the 1860 census. In 1860 Andrew and his family are in Gilmer, GA and it lists his birthplace as TN. By 1870 they are back in Yancey County, NC. Was the biological son of George Washington Byrd and Rachel Morris McIntosh. George Washington Byrd is the son of Col. George William Byrd and Margaret Annie Hutson who moved from Virginia and settled on Jacks Creek, Yancey County, NC. George Washington Byrd is the father of atleast the last four children of Rachel McIntosh. Genetic testing done by several McIntosh and Byrd descendants has proven this. Levon Morris McIntosh, Andrew Jackson McIntosh, Robert McIntosh, and Sidney McIntosh.
