According to Richard Coleman Witters, Ancestral Roots and Descendants of Charles Robert Looney and LaVanchie Margaret Cool and the Families of ... Whiting, rev. (Xlibris 2009), p. 139, "Thomas Fitch married Anne Reeve 8 August 1611 at St. Mary's Church in Bocking. Thomas died January 1633. He was a large landowner and cloth manufacturer. His will mentions seven sons and three daughters. Following the death of Thomas, Anne and four of her sons were early settlers in Connecticut. Anne (Reeve) was living with her son, Joseph Fitch I, in 1669."

Biography == Anna was born on 29 Nov 1590 in Garret Manor, Gosfield, Essex, England. She was the daughter of John Reeve and Mary Brock.

Her name is variously spelled Reeve, Reve, and Reeves.
She married Thomas Fitch Sr, son of George Fitch and Joan Thurgood, on8 Aug 1611 in Bocking, Essex, England. They had at least ten children: Thomas; Elizabeth; John; James; Nathaniel; Jeremy; Samuel; Joseph Fitch (24 Nov 1627-3 Oct 1727); and Mary. Her husband was noted to be a clothier in Bocking. He died on 16 Jan 1633.
It is unclear when she came to America, but her son James testified later in life that his mother brought the family over when he was 16 years old, placing the estimated date to 1638. She was noted to be living in Hartford at least through 21 Oct 1669, and she is believed to have died sometime around 1685 or 1686.
