Mrs Annie Elizabeth Sage (née Cazaly), was born in Hackney, London in 1867. Annie was from a large family of French Hugenot extraction, members of which had emigrated all over the world. She married John George Sage, also from Hackney, on 2nd November, 1890. The couple went on to have the following children: Stella, George, Douglas, Frederick, William, Dorothy, Ada, Constance and Thomas.

The entire family died in the disaster. Annie's body, if recovered, was never identified.
